Spirit Awards

The Spirit Awards recognize individuals for their creativity, forward thinking and leadership. 

Most Creative Audio Visual

Presented to Chreatha Alston, with the NC Community College System, in recognition of their Running Man Challenge video. 

Small but Mighty 

Presented to Lauren Eiswirth with the Office of the State Auditor. Despite being a smaller agency, they increased their giving 128% from 2015 and have consistently achieved a participation rate of over 50%. 

Change Makers

Presented to: Olga Propst & Sherry Helton at DHHS Broughton Hospital for their Thankful Thursday donations of $382, 

and to: Betsey Clark with UNC Chapel Hill, Pharmacology where they raised $233 in their Thankful Thursday initiative.

Collectively demonstrating that change matters. 

Hurricane Heroes

This award is presented to campaigns, which despite Hurricane Matthew & the torrential flooding that occurred after, ran campaigns that motivated individuals and exceeded 2015 totals.
