2016 Statewide SECC Kick-Off on August 19
The North Carolina State Employees Combined Campaign (SECC) will launch this year's campaign on August 19 with a charity fair and lunch on Bicentennial Plaza in downtown Raleigh. The annual event gives campaign leadership an opportunity to thank state employees for their commitment to charitable giving while also offering participating charities an opportunity to showcase their work and impact. More than one thousand state employees and retirees are expected to attend the kick-off.
This year's campaign theme, Power of Giving, highlights the powerful difference that each donation makes as well as the tremendous power in the combined donations of all state employees. Last year's campaign raised close to $3.8 million pushing the total amount raised through the campaign over $100 million.
The kick-off will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm and Pharaoh's will be serving lunch for $5 (cash only, please). Attendees can enjoy a choice of sandwich (hamburger, cheeseburger, veggie sandwich, or two hot dogs), chips, cookie, and a drink while they browse the charity booths.
