Ready - Set - GO! Volunteer Training Underway...

On Thursday, July 28th, more than 120 Triangle area volunteers gathered for the first Campaign Volunteer Training Session of 2011 at the Department of Cultural Resources in downtown Raleigh.  2011 SECC Chair Secretary Carey expressed his thanks to the volunteers attending, as well as visiting with the SECC Federation representatives who were there to share information with the attendees.  Jill Cox of United Way of North Carolina, Courtney Carraway of the Office of the State Auditor and Charmaine Fuller Cooper of the Department of Administration were the featured presenters for the event.  The SECC Kick-Off will be held on Friday, August 19th, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Bicentennial Plaza in downtown Raleigh with a huge charity fair and hot dog, chips and drink for $1!  Come on down!

More training sessions are planned for volunteers across the state.  All volunteers - both new and experienced - are encouraged to join us and can RSVP through this online form.
