Thank you to the 40 volunteers from across the state who came out on a hot, sunny Friday to help kick off this year's SECC campaign on August 19. The event wouldn't have been successful without your hard work. You demonstrate the power of giving and we are extremely grateful! The annual event featured a charity fair on the Bicentennial Mall in downtown Raleigh. State employees were able to learn more about over 70 eligible charities while enjoying a discounted lunch from Pharoahs. This year's campaign theme, Power of Giving, highlights the powerful difference that each of us makes as well as the tremendous power in the combined giving of all state employees. Last year's campaign raised close to $3.8 million pushing the total amount raised through the campaign over $100 million.
