The State Employees Combined Campaign has a knowledgeable staff that can help you with any questions you may have regarding the campaign. Our offices are located in downtown Raleigh at Two Hannover Square, Suite 1230 and SECC office hours are 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. SECC Staff

Stephen E. Davis, SECC Interim Executive Director  Davis is a native North Carolinian who was reared in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is a graduate of East Carolina University and holds the AB Degree in Political Science with a concentration in American Political Systems and Comparative Government.

Davis has been an active participant in community and civic affairs including time as a volunteer tutor in the Raleigh Public School System; volunteer for the Multiple Sclerosis Association; member, Board of Directors for the United Way of North Carolina; Chair, Interfaith Coalition for the Granville County Habitat for Humanity; and Board of Directors for the Granville County Historical Society. He has also held appointments to the NC State Personnel Commission and the UNC Human Resources Advisory Board. He is currently President of the National Council of Federated Campaigns.

Davis is a former State Personnel Director and was an Assistant Secretary for Human Resources & Community Relations in the Department of Health & Human Services. He has been a guest lecturer in the Duke University Policy & Organization Management Program and has conducted seminars on human resources for numerous state and national groups. Upon his retirement from state government in 2003, Davis received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine from Governor Easley in recognition of his public service.

A resident of Raleigh and Oxford, NC, Davis’ personal interests include photography, perennial gardening, and cooking. He is an avid collector of Southern heirloom recipes and has an extensive collection of late 19th century and early 20th century cookbooks. He has a daughter, Lauren, who is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Meredith Barrett Cuomo, SECC Deputy Director, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in Political Science and Communication Studies. Before being named Deputy Director of the SECC, she was the General Government Manager. Meredith also worked on several political campaigns, including two gubernatorial campaigns as well as a US Senate race.

Meredith is a native of Zebulon, North Carolina and currently resides in Holly Springs with her husband Bryon and their son Paul.

Amy Crook, Director of Communications, joined the SECC in January 2006.  She has worked with numerous public relation firms in the public and private sector and participated in several judicial, gubernatorial and federal political campaigns.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from North Carolina State University. She, her husband Danny, and their son Callaghan live in Durham.

Lauren Baker, Resource Development Director, joined the SECC staff in June 2005. She has extensive knowledge of campaign practices through her experience with the United Way and in working with the Combined Federal Campaign.

Lauren, a native of Iowa, holds an Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the the University of Iowa. She is also a veteran of the Armed Forces, having served the in the United State Marine Corps.

Lauren lives in Morrisville with her handsome son Marcus.

Alan Taylor, Campaign Manager is a graduate of North Carolina State University and previous football Alum. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Alan has called the Triangle home for his entire life and has a background in the finance industry.

Alan joined the SECC in January 2006. He and his wife, Dania, live in Clayton, North Carolina.
